simply doing that will not produce such a 'strong' overtone. in theory everyone can do this, but then again, in theory, everyone can sing as well. we all have vocal folds and thats all you need to sing... in theory ;) yet most people can't controll them the way singers do. even if your range sucks you shóuld basically be able to sing within range. same goes for this, most people can't figure it out, and those who can probably don't get this strong of overtone.

Steffi had the speed. Also, Graf's backhand slice was tougher than it looked. I do believe that Monica would have upended Graf in the mid 90's, yes the stabbing stopped that. It's not Steffi's fault that it happened, but it did help her title count (in my opinion). But what could Graf do? She went on, as Monica and everyone else did.

I like Graf better since she retired. I finally got to understand how shy she actually is, and how passionate. After she retired one of the first things she did was go bungy jumping, and sail in America's Cup. She was dying to LIVE fully, and Andre helps her do that. I love to them kissing and hugging, and having fun. I do agree that Monica's stabbing changed the course of women's tennis history. But to be fair, that's not Stefanie Graf's fault.
